In Part 3 of this webinar, members of Roetzel’s Education Law Group and Roetzel Consulting Solutions will discuss the status of numerous bills recently passed or currently pending before the Ohio Legislature in its lame-duck session, which will have a significant impact on public school districts. Legislation addressed in the webinar includes Senate Bill 104, commonly referred to as the “Bathroom Bill,” which also includes changes to the College Credit Plus program;  House Bill 8, the “Parents’ Bill of Rights,” which addresses sex education and parental notification rights; the status of the expected legislative fix to Senate Bill 29 concerning student data privacy; and Senate Bill 293, which, if passed, will require districts to adopt a release time for religious instruction.

The schedule and speakers for what promises to be a robust discussion on these many significant legislative actions are as follows:

9:00 – 9:45 am | Senate Bill 104, presented by: Susan Anderson & Sherri Warner

9:45 – 10:30 am | House Bill 8, presented by: David Hirt & Sherri Warner

10:30 – 11:00 am | Senate Bill 29/Senate Bill 293, presented by: Aaron Ross & Sherri Warner
